Brainerd win and top countdown seed for Hines and Harley

Screamin' Eagle®/Vance & Hines rider Andrew Hines earned a number-one seed in the NHRA Full Throttle Countdown to the Championship drag racing playoffs with a win in the final round of Pro Stock Motorcycle eliminations at the Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals at Brainerd International Raceway. Hines rode a Harley-Davidson® V-Rod® to defeat Suzuki Extended Protection rider Jim Underdahl in the final. It was the second-straight event win for Hines, his fourth of the season, and the 22nd of his career.

Coolbeth is second on factory Harley at Hagerstown

Harley-Davidson® Screamin' Eagle® factory rider Kenny Coolbeth led 12 laps and finished second in a back-and-forth battle with Latus Harley-Davidson rider Joe Kopp in the Grand National Twins main at the Hagerstown Speedway half-mile, the 10th round of the AMA Pro K&N Filters Grand National Championship presented by Motorcycle-Superstore.com. Kopp rode a Harley-Davidson XR-750 to take the win. Blue Springs Harley-Davidson rider Jared Mees was third, also on a Harley-Davidson.

Harley-Davidson finalizes sale of MV Agusta

Harley-Davidson, Inc. (NYSE: HOG) has concluded the sale of its subsidiary, MV Agusta, to Claudio Castiglioni and his wholly owned holding company, MV Agusta Motor Holding, S.r.l., effective today. Castiglioni is the former owner of the Italian motorcycle maker and has served as MV Agusta's chairman since 2008, when Harley-Davidson acquired the company.

Harley-Davidson foundation presents $1 million grant to Disabled American Veterans

Harley-Davidson, Inc. (NYSE:HOG) yesterday announced the awarding of a second $1 million grant from the Harley-Davidson Foundation, Inc. to the non-profit organization, the Disabled American Veterans (DAV). Harley-Davidson's relationship with the DAV dates to 2006, when the Harley-Davidson Foundation made a prior $1 million grant to the organization. The new grant announced yesterday at the DAV National Convention in Atlanta is designated for continued funding of the DAV's Mobile Service Office (MSO) program over the next four years.
