Harley-Davidson, Inc. (NYSE:HOG) has announced the election of Thomas Linebarger to the Company's Board of Directors, effective today. Linebarger, a senior executive with Cummins Inc. (NYSE:CMI), was recently appointed that company's President and Chief Operating Officer, effective August 1.

Screamin’ Eagle/Vance & Hines rider Andrew Hines advanced to the final round of Pro Stock Motorcycle eliminations at the Fram/Autolite NHRA Nationals at Infineon Raceway. In his fourth final-round appearance of the season, Hines lost to Rocklin Motorsports Buell rider Matt Guidera, but added to his overall lead in NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series season points. Screamin’ Eagle/Vance & Hines rider Eddie Krawiec advanced to the semi-final round before losing to Hines.

Harley-Davidson Screamin' Eagle factory rider Kenny Coolbeth overcame a poor start and fought his way through the field to win the AMA Grand National Twins race at Hagerstown Speedway. In notching his fourth Grand National Twins victory of the season, Coolbeth regained the season points lead he lost last week at Greenville, Ohio, to Latus Harley-Davidson/Screamin’ Eagle rider Joe Kopp, who finished third at Hagerstown. With five races left on the 2008 season schedule, Coolbeth leads Kopp by just six points.

Beartooth Harley-Davidson/Buell announced today that they received a Destination Friendship Award in appreciation of their help and friendship during the Gold Wing Touring Association’s Gold Rush XXI.
