Bilansky rides Buell to Pro Thunderbike title at VIR

Hal’s H-D/Buell/Hal’s Speed Shop rider Dan Bilansky clinched the 2009 Pro Thunderbike championship in the ASRA Michelin Pro Series, riding a Buell XB12R to a third-place finish at Virginia International Raceway. The race was won by the defending Pro Thunderbike champion, BMW rider Nate Kern. Ray Price Harley-Davidson/Buell rider Jordon Richardson was second on another Buell XB12R.

Krawiec takes V-Rod to semi-finals at Carolina Nationals

Screamin’ Eagle/Vance & Hines rider Eddie Krawiec rode a Harley-Davidson V-Rod to the semi-final round of Pro Stock Motorcycle eliminations at the NHRA Carolina Nationals at zMax Dragway. Krawiec lost that round to top qualifier Hector Arana, who won the event by defeating Gieco Suzuki rider Karen Stoffer in the finals.

Harley-Davidson, Inc. (NYSE: HOG) has named John Olin Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately. Olin, 48, has served as interim CFO of Harley-Davidson, Inc. since May 1, 2009, and as Harley-Davidson Motor Company’s Vice President and Controller since joining the organization in May 2003.

H.O.G.’S Pony Express Rally retraces historic route

Beginning today, members of the Harley Owner’s Group (H.O.G.) will retrace the storied route of the legendary Pony Express riders as they journey from St. Joseph, Missouri, to Sacramento, California, along a route that will take them to stops in seven western states in the course of the 10-day long-distance motorcycle journey.
